Chevron-striped blanket for baby

I started this blanket when i was expecting my first-born. I had a terrible lust for crocheting! I used different kinds of waste cotton yarns and I love the outcome! That's why I decided to write somekind of pattern for others enjoynment. I was inspired by Pauline Turner's How to crochet where I found the instructions for Chevron-stripes.

Chevron-striped blanket for baby
Size: 100 x 140 cm
Crochet hook: 3 mm
Suggested yarn: Novita Tennessee and other cotton yarns that match the gauge
Approximately yardage: 1277 g

Start by making 185 chain stitches. Then turn over the work and start chrocheting back to start: Make 1 double crochet (= dc) into the third chain stitch from the start. *Crochet 3 double crochets (one double chrochet per chain st), then 3 dcs together, 3 dcs and 3 dcs in one chain st.* Repeat *-* until the end of the row. There will be 2 dcs in the last chain st. Crochet 3 chain sts and turn the work.

2. row: Make first dc in the same st where you made the chain sts for turning.

Continue repeating the 2. row until blanket measures size you like. If you want to make stripes, I changed the color before making 3 chaing for turning. Weave in the ends and enjoy your lovely blanket!
